In 2021, Matthew and I turned our previous home into an Airbnb so we could move into our new fixer upper, and have some additional funds to get the job done!
Guests come and go pretty frequently, and since the main living areas of the home are pretty open concept for a 1920s craftsman, the floors and rugs get a ton of foot traffic!
The dining room rug we’ve had since living there was looking a little worse for wear. Enter our new Holi rug in Cream from Boutique Rugs!
I like to keep the rooms at our Airbnb pretty “themed,” if you will - the living room is very green and botanical, and the dining room is modern with pops of purple tones.
And, that’s just what we got with this rug. Holi is a beauty creamy color with a traditional pattern that has the prettiest purple undertone.
This rug is low-pile, and machine printed, making it easy to spot clean. But, when the messes get too tough for a spot clean to handle, you can actually throw this rug in wash. Washable rugs are such a game changer for Airbnb hosts!
But I have to admit, my favorite part about Holi is the backing on the underside of the rug, helping to keep it in place on our wood floors.
Not to mention the sweet fringe detail is to die for!
I hope our guests love dining in this room as much as I’ve loved decorating it. Our Holi rug completes the cozy and casual vibe we were going for. Make sure you check it out at Boutique Rugs (use my code JLSMITH60 for 5% off already discounted prices!) and leave a comment with any questions!
